Ok, so you've been out to town looking for a new game to buy. There on the shelf in your favorite games shop is this fabulous looking cover, for a game called EVE online. You flip the box over to see 4 pictures with superb graphics, beautiful scenery. Yes! this will do just nicely. You rush home, cant wait to bang the cd in and get started. The instruction booklet??? Who cares about that!? Ok, the nitty gritty of payments etc. is out of the way and you're into the character creation screen. A few choices later and yeah, that looks good. But is it? How do you know you've made the right choice? Well for me, it turns out my attributes are fine. I am happy with what I got. I am happy with the name of my character too. I was happy too with the skills I got, not that a year in that makes much difference. But I am not happy with the race I chose. It is now limiting the style of play that I have chosen. So, my question is; If you could choose a race again, which would it be, or would you remain the same?

Originally by: Jarjar I'd be amarr to fly amarr ships and possibly RP more (Obviously I can fly amarr ships now too, but that's far from the same thing!)
This is my view exactly. Amarr ships look cool and level 5 in lasers makes a Punisher an excellent ship. But what when the T2 version comes? Race bonuses

Originally by: Rodj Blake The "race bonus" for an elite frigate is the bonus you get for having level 5 in the appropriate frigate skill. It has nothing to do with what race you are.
If that's the case I was misinformed and am a little happier. But would still be an Amarr if I could change now.
